Iran participating in ITB 2008

TEHRAN – The 42nd edition of the International Tourismus Börse (ITB) 2008, the largest tourism fair in the world, kicked off in Berlin on Wednesday.
The March 5-9 event has provided a great opportunity for over 180 countries to showcase their capacities in the tourism sector.Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization has been allotted a 484-sq.m pavilion at the fair with 33 exhibitors from among travel agencies, handicrafts industries, airlines, hotels, and other related categories.
Each year the ITB becomes an even more international event. Whereas in 2003 approximately one third of all trade visitors came to Berlin from around the globe, this year they accounted for 43 percent of the total, a further two percent rise over the previous year.
